I have had the honour to receive M. Rr. G. Herbork's letter of the 16th of May last; informing Lordship had approved the grant to me of a pension from Hongkong Funds at the rate of £383:6:8, but that you were unable to comply with my request that the whole of the cost of my passage from England should be defrayed from public funds.
